The Jersey Duchess is a Kingfisher K50. After being built in 2003, she started her life as a passenger ferry in Portsmouth, where she was known as The ‘Faithful Servant’.
Under new ownership she was was renamed the ‘Dorset Duchess’ and then moved to Poole offering tours to the locals. In Poole, she had a complete re-furbishment, which included a bar, dance floor and two new engines.
The now ‘Jersey Duchess’ arrived in Jersey from Poole on a cold winter evening in March 2017.
Her first job in Jersey were the sightseeing tours to Corbiere Lighthouse, which locally became a success. Now, as well as the tours, she is well known for her private charter outings and Saturday night boat parties during the summer months.

Paul Talbot, director and skipper, had been looking for ‘his’ Jersey Duchess for over three years. He wanted a boat that could take passengers on and serve the local tourism market. The Duchess had the bar, enough seats and was fully kitted out.
She is perfect for the island waters. Some would say it was meant to be…!
